BILL JUDD (Vocals/Guitar/Bass/Percussion/Engineering/Producing/Management) has been part of the musical entertainment industry for over four decades. He began playing drums at an early age and by the time he was thirteen he was performing in nightclub circuits through out the mid west and southern states. His musical influences include Motown, rock & roll, delta blues, big band, and classical

In 1973 he moved to Indiana to join two close friends to form a power rock trio: Greg Martin (Lead Guitar) and Mike Perkins (Bass).  Bill played drums in this band. They played venues in southern Indiana and Kentucky. The material was heavy blues-based rock consisting of originals and covers.

Through the mid seventies he performed with a southern rock act, Slickrock, for five years entertaining the mid western and southern state regions. Slickrock opened shows for some of the hottest acts of the time including: REO Speedwagon, Charlie Daniels, Marshall Tucker, Wet Willie, Barefoot Jerry, Kraftwerk, Grinderswitch, Eric Quincy Tate, Goose Creek Symphony, Hydra, Leslie West from Mountain and a host of others.  Also, Bill has performed as part of the Billy Vaughn Band - one of the ''big-band" eras greatest acts holding many gold records and #1 singles.                     Mike Hildreth-Bass, Mike Clark-Guitar, Ken Smith-Guitar, Bill Judd-Drums, and Jamie Ebbert-Guitar.
   

He has studied music on a formal level and holds a minor in music with concentrations in voice, composition, and percussion. The breadth of his formal education includes several years of lessons and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. Other industry participations include vocal, percussion, and guitar performances on various jingles for the radio/television broadcast media and engineering/producing recording sessions for various upcoming artists. During the late seventies and early eighties he concentrated on developing guitar and vocal skills while composing more than twenty pop rock ballads.
   

He moved to New England in late 1984 and during 1986 formed Change of Face (an original music and cover rock band), handling management, band bookings, lead guitar and lead vocals. Since the early 90’s he has concentrated his musical efforts on vocal, guitar, percussion, bass and composition while being active as a session musician.

Current projects include:

  • Completing a self-titled CD of original compositions – all musical instruments and vocal tracks are performed by Bill Judd, as well as engineered and produced. SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
  • Engineering/Producing sessions for several New England songwriters, area bands, voice-over professionals for radio/television, and as a session musician when needed. SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
  • Managing a 64-Track Digital Recording Studio
